Doina DOB is an up-and-coming historical coming-of-age webcomic on Webtoon Canvas, with 8k subscribers and 73k total views after just one year of publishing. I am the sole creator of the comic, which includes writing, storyboards and roughs, clean line art, final color, and text.

Season 1 Final Page Excerpts

There are two main coloring styles for the comic: a more grounded solid coloring system that dominates the majority of the comic, and a watercolor style that is primarily used for flashbacks and dream sequences. The line art remains consistent, with deep and dynamic black-outs to support the vibrant and ambient colors.

Three covers were designed before the final was created; each cover exemplified a different aspect of the story that was intended to be felt upon first impression, whether it was drama, the intensity and depth of the main character, or aesthetic appeal. The final design encompasses all of these traits and displays a growth in technique and style.
